In-house counsel for LWCC. My primary area of practice is subrogation. 

 
Favorite BRBA project or event:

Holiday Star Project.


Most rewarding moment in your practice:

Receiving a judgment from the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal, in which all issues on appeal were reversed in favor of my clients.


The part of my job I do best is:

Overcoming obstacles and finding an amicable resolution.

 
What most people don't know about me:

I played collegiate basketball.


Family:

Married to Joseph A. Delpit Jr. We have three children:  Jhuane (31), Joseph (17) and Jada (14).


Best thing about being a lawyer:

Making a difference in the lives of others.


Culinary talent:

I am a pretty good cook and I really enjoy cooking family meals with my husband.


Cat or Dog?

Neither.


Favorite place in Baton Rouge:

No where special. I enjoy spending time with my family every day. I also enjoy attending church and visiting my in-laws on Sundays.


What was the turning point that made you decide to become an attorney?

While in high school, I decided that I wanted to become a lawyer to help the less fortunate and serve my community.


Favorite restaurant: 

Of course, family-owned Delpit's Chicken Shack.


If I had more time, I would: 

Visit my parents more often.


Board/Committees I serve on: 

New Venture Theatre Board of Directors.


Person I would like to have lunch with: 

T. D. Jakes.


Best advice you have received: 

Be true to yourself and always do the right thing. Your word is your bond.
