The judges and the staff of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana mourn the loss of our valued colleague and dear friend, Judge John V. Parker. Judge Parker’s career as a federal judge was exemplary and his contributions to the administration of justice are too numerous to describe. He will forever be remembered for his keen sense of justice, his devotion to the rule of law, and his love for the people of Baton Rouge. May we all aspire to the standards of justice, fairness, and excellence embodied by Judge Parker.
