Who is eligible to be a member?
All lawyers who are members of the Baton Rouge Bar Association may be a member of this Section, with a particular encouragement to lawyers who have a family law practice. There is a $25 annual fee to be a member of the Family Law Section.
Purpose of the Family Law Section:
- To coordinate and implement new membership in the Baton Rouge Bar Association ("BRBA") and to assimilate family lawyers into the BRBA on a monthly basis so as to elicit membership as well as participation in the committee system of the BRBA;
- To promote professional and social understanding and cooperation and network among family lawyers in BRBA
- To motivate present membership to become active in the Section’s membership in general and the committee process specifically;
- To take such other action and perform such other functions as the Executive Committee deems appropriate.
