Opening of Court, Memorial & New Member Ceremony to be held Wednesday, Jan. 28

The Opening of Court, Memorial and New Member Ceremony will be held Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at the 19^th Judicial District Courthouse. The ceremony will take place in Courtroom 11A on the 11^th floor. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the ceremony starts at 8:30 a.m.

 

This ceremony honors Baton Rouge lawyers and judges who have passed away in the last year. Toward the conclusion of the ceremony, new members of the bar are recognized.

 

Organized by the Baton Rouge Bar Association, this program is a joint effort of the BRBA as well as the Baton Rouge Association of Women Attorneys, the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the 19^th Judicial District Court. Scott M. Levy is the organizer of the planning committee.

 

BRBA President Robert J. Burns Jr., BRAWA President Jan Reeves and Louis A. Martinet Legal Society President Rolando Urbana will be present during the ceremony.
