My late father, Anderson O. Dotson Jr.


The part of my job I do best is:

Meeting people and helping them resolve their issues.


What most people don't know about me:

I played in the LSU Golden Band from Tigerland. 


Family:

Wife:  Melissa; Children: Andie (8), Ryann (6), and Anderson IV (18 months).


Pet peeve:

Inconsiderate, rude or mean people.


Best thing about being a lawyer:

I am, hopefully, able to make a positive impact in the lives of the defendents, witnesses and clients I work with each day.


Culinary talent:

I fancy myself an amateur chef and love to use the grill.


Cat or Dog?

Dog. I always had a dog growing up.


Favorite BRBA project or event:

Any Volunteer Committee event.


What was the turning point that made you decide to become an attorney?

The one thing that had the most influence was being a student attorney for Teen Court while in high school.


Favorite restaurant:

Flemings and/or Mike Anderson's.

If I had more time, I would:

Do more pro bono work and play more golf.


Board / Committees I serve on:

Heritage Ranch, Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board [Hearing Committee Chair (2012-present)]; Louisiana Supreme Court Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Committee (Vice-Chairman, 6 years, ending in 2013); Assistant Examiner for the Louisiana State Bar Examination.


Person I would like to have lunch with:

My late father, one more time at his favorite place.
