Effective Legal Writing

LSU Professor, Marlene Krousel, provides an excellent refresher to effective legal writing in this seminar. She states, “The goal of effective legal writing is to be clear, concise, and direct. One should strive for simple and straight forward explanations as opposed to complicated and convoluted ones. Writing that is confusing or hard to follow is not persuasive.”  Effective written legal advocacy requires practice for new and not-so-new attorneys. This seminar was originally offered by the BRBA at the 2020 CLE by the Hour Series.
