Recently, the United States Supreme Court rejected race-conscious
admissions in higher education in a case involving policies at Harvard
University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The decision
seemingly overturned more than 40 years of legal precedent. The decision has
far-reaching implications, some of which will manifest immediately. Others may
take decades to fully understand.
Alena Allen, Dean of LSU Law Center and a graduate of
Yale Law School, will present her analysis of the decision at the BRBA November Bar Luncheon. Allen's presentation will yield 1.0 hour of CLE credit.
