Region III High School Mock Trial Competition in 2024 at the 19th Judicial District Court (specific date: TBD)

This competition educates high school students about the law and legal system through a fun, hands-on experience.  The student teams study a hypothetical case and prepare a case for both the plaintiff and defense, and then present their case before a judge and a mock jury of attorney performance judges at trial.  Volunteer attorney and teacher coaches prepare the students for their “day in court.”

The parishes included in Region III are Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana parishes.
