VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  LSU Law Advocacy Programs

On behalf of the Advocacy Programs at the LSU Law Center, you are invited to judge one (or more) rounds of the 2013 National Trial Competition’s Region 10 regional rounds, which will be held Feb. 14 -16 at the 19th Judicial District Court, 300 North Blvd. Sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the National Trial Competition is the nation’s largest trial advocacy competition for law students.  Law students from nearly every law school in Texas and Louisiana will be traveling to Baton Rouge next week to present their cases to panels of distinguished attorneys.

Judges are needed for all of the following rounds.  In the event you are not available, I hope that you will consider forwarding this invitation to other talented attorneys in the greater Baton Rouge area – the students benefit greatly from having a large number of experienced judges in their courtrooms.

Thursday, Feb. 14 - Preliminary Round 1 – 5:00 to 8:00 pm

Friday, Feb. 15 - Preliminary Round 2 – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; Preliminary Round 3 – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Saturday, Feb. 16 - Semifinal Round – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; Final Round – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
