BRBF Law Day Program is expected to attract 800 middle and high school students to downtown Thursday, May 1


More than 800 middle and high school students from 22 schools are expected to participate in the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation Law Day Thursday, May 1, 2014. The event will begin at the Baton Rouge River Center Theatre with a naturalization ceremony (9:15 a.m.), which will be followed by the Law Day opening ceremony beginning at 10 a.m.


After the ceremony, the students will break up into 15 courtrooms in the 19th JDC, the Family Court of East Baton Rouge and Baton Rouge City Court for the interactive courtroom sessions from 10:45 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Donna Buuck is the coordinator of the event and a staff member of the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation. Ryan R. Brown is the chairman of the 2014 Law Day Committee.
