The University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Operational Review

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Office of Operational Review is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Operational Review. The position reports to the Director of Operational Review. The Assistant Director will assist the Director in contractual, operational and performance standards review and development, federal and state regulatory compliance, research, and implementation of key elements of the University’s Strategic Plan. The Assistant Director will review, negotiate, and draft contracts and assist with research and analysis on federal and state regulatory and compliance matters as well as policy analysis and development. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across University departments and will demonstrate an ability to manage a diverse set of responsibilities in a dynamic university environment. The Assistant Director is also responsible for working on special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director and Associate Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: The ideal candidate is required to have a Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school and have at least three (3) years of experience performing legal work. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in college/university operations and transactions. The desired candidate should also possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and function both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The First Circuit Court of Appeal seeks a qualified individual to serve as Business Services Manager.  The Business Services Manager conducts its office pursuant to state law, the internal rules, policies, and procedures established by the Administrative Conference of the Court and as administered by the Chief Judge of the Court.  The Business Services Manager is responsible for effective and efficient budget preparation, projection and monitoring of future expenditures, preparation of special financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, examination and management of accounting records, accounts payable/ payroll/ personnel management, contract management, and procurement/purchasing management. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A bachelors’ degree in accounting plus four years of related work experience in accounting or auditing, or eight years of progressively responsible technical accounting and fiscal management experience, and CPA certification required.   Additional preferred qualifications are knowledge of Sage 100 Standard ERP 2015, knowledge of GAAP as applied to governmental agencies, experience with budget preparation, accounts payable/payroll/personnel management experience, and work experience within a Louisiana public agency.
