Joanna B Hynes to receive Pro Bono Publico Award for her pro bono efforts
Joanna B. Hynes has been selected to receive the 2013 Pro Bono Publico Award. She has dedicated more than 200 hours to pro bono service in the last five years, and has represented more than 25 pro bono clients in family matters. Hynes is a dedicated BRBA member who volunteers her unique skills and experience to provide legal services to the poor. She also serves as the Family Law Section secretary, is a past seminar speaker and is a frequent contributor to Around the Bar magazine. Hynes, who is licensed to practice in New York and Louisiana, earned a B.A. in English in 1997 from Williams College and a J.D. in 2002 from Pepperdine University School of Law. She currently practices family law as a solo practitioner. The award will be presented to Hynes May 21, 2013, at the LSBA Pro Bono Publico and Children’s Law Awards at the Louisiana Supreme Court in New Orleans.
