Newest Baton Rouge judges to speak at BRBA February luncheon

The Baton Rouge Bar Association will hold its February Bar Luncheon Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Ruffino’s Catering at De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St. The luncheon is a joint meeting between the BRBA, the Baton Rouge Association of Women Attorneys, the Federal Bar Association (Baton Rouge chapter) and the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society.

The luncheon speakers are the two newest judges on the bench, Baton Rouge City Court Judge Tarvald Smith and Magistrate Judge Erin Wilder-Doomes of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.

Smith was previously a public defender in Baker City Court. Prior to her appointment, Wilder-Doomes practiced law with Stewart Robbins & Brown.

Members of the BRBA, BRAWA, FBA—BR chapter and Louis A. Martinet Legal Society are invited to attend the luncheon.
