What makes you excited about going to work?
The people with whom I work. Every day I'm surrounded by good mentors and great friends!
What is the biggest challenge facing attorneys today?
Managing client expectations and maintaining a work-life balance now that technology permits us to be accessible all the time.

Currently reading:
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand.
Favorite place in Baton Rouge:
Enjoying dinner with friends at DiGuilio Brothers.
Culinary talent:
I'm a self-proclaimed "foodie" but still holding out for some actual culinary talent . . . Does crockpot salsa chicken count?
Favorite law school memory:
The unforgettable one-liners delivered by Professor Warren L. Mengis . . . "and that's why God made little green apples" and many others not appropriate for publication.
What volunteer efforts do you support?
I serve as a chapter advisor for the Chi Omega Sorority at LSU and served on the Children's Counsel at First United Methodist Church. I also actively participate in our firm's annual Capital Area United Way Giving Campaign.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself:
I would have reminded myself to relax and enjoy the present moment instead of always looking ahead. I love the quote: "Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present."
In your briefcase:
Lipstick, laptop, and just in case my five-year-old son may be joining me, fruit snacks, goldfish crackers, boogie wipes and action figures.
